Onion and fish day and Seto Michaelmas Day
On October 4th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
When the autumn fieldwork and herding have come to an end, it's time to celebrate properly. On Onion and Fish Day, you can take part in the harvest festivities of the Setos and Old Believers. Both communities are renowned for their skills in vegetable growing and fishing, so a fair will be held where you can buy the finest Peipsi onions, a variety of fish, and other delicacies. At the Estonian Open Air Museum's Peipsi Russian house and Seto farm, you can explore the food culture and handicrafts of the Peipsi region and Setos.
*Entry to the event is free with the Estonian Open Air Museum annual pass, museum card and Tallinn Card!
How to get to the museum?
On October 4, both the main gate and the back gate of the museum will be open (about 1 km in the direction of Kakumäe). Buses No. 21 and 21B will take you to the museum (the nearest bus stop to the Setu farm and the House of an Old Believer is Õismäe Raba). Buses No. 41 and 41b lead from the museum to the city center. You can park your car for free in the parking lot at the main gate as well as in the parking lot behind the museum.
